
Pipelines can be adversely affected by work being carried out nearby.
If a pipeline is pierced or knocked, gas or liquids can escape, with a high risk of explosion, fire, asphyxiation or pollution.
To guarantee safety, the type of work listed below (either private or public) must be notified in compliance with French decree N. 91-1147 of October 14, 1991 and the French Order of November 16, 1994:
•
Any earthworks or digging using mechanical equipment.
•
Creation, maintenance, reprofiling or dredging of waterways, canals, ponds, lakes or other bodies of water.
•
Dumping, removal or extraction of materials and soil (mines, quarries, landfills).
•
Removal, moving or laying of pipes, drains or cables.
•
Drilling, sinking, ripping or driving of piling and stakes.
•
Off-road vehicle traffic weighing over 3.5 metric tons.
•
Erection of fences, posts, pylons, masts or anchoring.
•
Drainage work, subsoiling or ditch cleaning.
•
Planting or clearing of trees and shrubbery using mechanical equipment.
•
Demolition.
